A Cuppa, Cuppa, Cupcake

So, I'm finally understanding the whole cupcake obsession thing, which has previously eluded me. Yes, they're cute, and yes, they're tasty, but this is the thing: they are really fun to photograph. Like tiny, buttercream-topped supermodels*, all in a row.

* Except the cupcakes have way less cocaine in them.

Oh, Melanie, these are beyond beautiful. And that last photo has made me week in the knees. I haven't told you about my deep and abiding love for frosting.

Thanks! I think this was magic photography, though, because these babies were merely cute in person. Also, the white cake was kind of weird and muffin-y. In a bad way.

And while I can take or leave cake, I cannot resist frosting's siren song (Fraaaahsting!), particularly if there is cream cheese involved. I like that frosting presents two food groups, sugar and butter, in the most straightforward manner possible.
