Day 3: In the Rearview Mirror

Sitting at a stoplight, I noticed this little bit of (unexpected) tenderness going on in the back seat and quickly snapped off a picture.

And them my heart liquefied.

That is so priceless. What a quick thinkin' mama you are.

Mine are all teenagers, so I could try to get a shot of someone punching someone else!

Oh dear - have you mopped up your puddle of heart yet?

My kids fight like the dickens until they are properly busted for it. Then they become the united front against dear ol' mean Mom.

What a great shot.

In my car, that scene would be followed in two seconds by, "I want to hold Sweetpea's hand! Make her hold my hand! AAAAAAAEEEEE!!!"

My oldest thinks affection is something to be forced on younger siblings.

Awwwwww! Such a priceless shot. As my grandmother said when she went on a road trip to see her sister in the country and my baby girl (then 3) fell asleep holding her great-grandmother's hand, "There's a love affair going on back here!"

Popped over from Mrs. G's and may I say right now that your children are absolutely gorgeous!! And catching a moment like that in the car was priceless. Sometimes I'll catch my boys with one of them with his arm over the other's shoulder (and not in a headlock!!) as they are watching tv or playing a game...makes my heart grow a few sizes (kind of like the Grinch!!)
Have a great day!!

Most excellent shot. It must be saved and used for maximum guilt effect when they are ruthless to each other (a la Bad Mom's children these days...).

I am speechless on this one. It should be published 'round the world.

Beautiful and poignant at the same time.

This is so sweet and represents a coming together so powerful it could inspire more love and less war. Can't we ALL just get along?

I hope you plaster this photo on the front of the fridge door and leave it there for the next 15 years. You'll need it as a reminder when they're in high school and E is grossed out because J wants to date her "hot" friends.

This is maybe my favorite pic of yours ever. And hats off to you for having a camera handy! Martha S would be proud.
