Contrary to what I said here, Summer and I haven't broken up. In fact, I think this relationship is going the distance.

(And confidential to Summer: Nice melons.)

I hear you! I'm loving our summer in the fair state of MN - even when it gets hot and humid. I'll take the heat over -30 windchill and feets of snow ANY DAY.

Nice melons...snort!!!

The only thing about summer I hate is that it's followed by fall. Which is followed by winter which I loathe. LOATHE.

We had summer (in Calgary) but now I'm not sure where it went... Back and forth and back and forth.

Also: "nice melons". I laughed hard enough that I needed a napkin to mop up. What am I? 12?

All my favorites. If you'd served it with ribs you could show us a nice rack too!

I'm beyond infatuation with summer, I want to marry it.

mmmm, melons. I am watching my melon plants bloom out my office window. My home office I mean. I can't wait for those pretty buds to turn in to tasty fruity goodness. I'm sure that by the time it's all harvested and done for, we'll be VERY sick of melon, and all the other goodies growing out there, however right now, in this moment, we are anticipating (at least hubby and i are) gleefully our harvest.

i just keep going back to that first picture.....oh, how I do love canteloupe!! No such bit of delicacy here in these parts...we do have other melons, but...sadly, none of the ones I truly crave...and the others.just.aren't.the.same.
Thanks for reminding me of the good parts of summer!!!

My momma always told me not to play with my food. Though looking at these gorgeous shots (the cucumber is my fave), I wish I had taken some photos of the pineapple I just hacked into little bite-sized wedges.

Oh Yum! The pictures look great!

Very witty paste!!! As long as we're ogling melons, I feel it necessary to extend the metaphor to the other, um, shapely produce on that page. Cucumbers and corn, really? I've never felt so filthy looking at veggies.

mmm, yum! that summer is pretty alright!

Gorgeous! You should really blow those up and hang them on your wall.

Oh man me an' summer and your melons whew I think I need a cold shower...awesome photos.

Seriously! With all this great produce around how am I going to make room for the summer ice cream and hot dogs? Life is hard.

(I had a SHAVED ICE the other day and thought of you. Sour apple flavor. Turned to juice and an ice cube. Bah. Must return to soft serve.)

the corn! can i just say i loved the picture of the corn. i can get melon here in turkey, but the corn always leaves me feeling like an animal. they call it milk corn, and it is tough, tough, tough. i think we call it feed corn in the states! i want some good ol' sweet corn. and now my mouth is watering!

Mmmm! My only complaint about summer (definately not the melons!) is the mosquitos! HATE THEM!
