Three horrible facts about me:
1. I have horribly dry, sensitive skin that requires all manner of lotions and ointments and salves and emollients and liniments.
2. I am horribly inconsistent about screwing lids shut.
3. I live with a (only very lightly horrible) four-year-old and two-year-old.
And 1. + 2. + 3. sometimes =

(To be fair: his skin was even scalier than mine. Rexy had it coming.)

This is a strangely familiar scene to me - especially if you replace Rexy with Thomas the Tank Engine...

OMG. That is HYSTERICAL. More importantly, though, has T Rex gone from scaly to silky smooth?
My children caught a glimpse of this post and raced to the screen to find out more. This does not bode well.
Well, he was very rough and scaly... Isn't it terrifying how logical kids are? Mommy has dry skin, dinos have dry skin, I'll use Mommy's dry skin stuff for my dino. Makes perfect sense.
Rexy was begging for treatment.
(I bet it was fun to clean up too. Did you just fling them all in a tub?)
OMG. I love this.
My son uses Eucerin for his eczema. Having put it on him when he was a toddler I can just say, that is one hell of a mess you have there.
Oh man, I am laughing here at my desk.
But did anyone buff him with a buffing pad? These are the things that I want to know.
You could seal Rexy in a large sock overnight for really smooth skin. ;)

I would love to see what Rexy looks like after a thorough application of Eucerin.

Bwhahahahaha. My dog LOVES to lick Eucerin. She'd clean that up for you in no time. But then you might have a whole other problem on your hands.

this happen to me with the old Petroleum Jelly and my son and my sister-in-laws son- we were canning they found the jelly- all quiet and I found them covered head to toes in the stuff. Just try to grab an arm covered with this stuff!
2 laughing, pregnant women- 2 silly, slick kids and a rug which we threw out.
It is still a favorite moment.
At least it wasn't Crisco.

wow. i could use a spa treatment like that! you could hire those kids out and make some money. they seem to do a great job of covering all the dry scaly parts. fabulous!

I remember similar scenes with shaving creme. Oh, the joy they had. Yours will be harder to clean up, though.

When Bossy was a baby, she once overturned a whole canister of Talcum Powder over her own baby head. It was left on a table near the crib. Because it was the late 1960s and parents didn't care back then.
